Michael Clayton is an in-house “fixer” at one of the largest corporate law firms in New York. A former criminal prosecutor, Clayton takes care of Kenner, Bach & Ledeen’s dirtiest work at the behest of the firm’s co-founder Marty Bach. Though burned out and hardly content with his job as a fixer, his divorce, a failed business venture and mounting debt have left Clayton inextricably tied to the firm. Silly but hillarious at the same time, those are the first impressions you’ll get after watching a new British movie Run Fat Boy, Run. Starring popular Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz), the story circle around a little dumb guy who divorces with the girl of his dreams just to later realize he really loves her. Expect a little special kind of humor, typical for British movies. However, the release is just TERRIBLE, nuked multiple times (overcropped, out of sync, bad ar), the image quality sucks really hard (filmed by cellphone or what?) and it’s not even possible to watch it. That’s was a very lame attempt n00(bs)x. Let’s wait for something more serious…
A very spectacular movie appeared today in a nice dvd screener from HLS. The Band’s Visit or “Bikur Ha-Tizmoret” is an Israeli movie which was premiered at Cannes and already received 10 film awards so far and secures an insane-high IMDB rating of 8.2/10. Audio is partially English, but mostly Arabic or Hebrew, so you will really appreciate included English subtitles.
Here we have a wonderful DVDRip everyone’s been waiting for. This time its by SPiRAL. I personally haven’t heard of this group before but what matters is the fact that they have managed to release a DVDRip of Pirates of the Caribbean At Worlds End a whole 2 months before the Retail release date. This is a release that everyone is sure to enjoy! By the way they got the runtime wrong in the nfo (not 268 mins its 168 mins)
A fairly interesting (it already won 11 movie awards) horror comedy Fido is now available in limited dvdrip from group SAPHiRE. The movie starring Carrie-Anne Moss in the main role mixes a really black comedy elements with scary horror-like scenes, zombies included. The retail dvd date is October 23 so you get this with nice two-week advance.
